The Bothy ...

Before being reinstated in 2006, to a Bed & Breakfast near Petersfield Hampshire, the Bothy had been used as a base during the building of the now disused Meon Valley railway, from the late nineteenth century until its demise in the 1950s. It is a self-contained double/twin bedroom with an entrance hall and luxury bathroom. Decorated to the highest standard with beautiful original oak timbers incorporated into the high vaulted ceiling, a feeling of peace and tranquillity is very much evident. The soft furnishings are sumptuous and are complemented with antique pieces. A small sofa in the room allows for comfortable viewing of Sky TV and a broadband internet connection is available. A wide selection of fine teas and coffee is available with fresh milk provided. With every comfort catered for it is a truly peaceful setting for a memorable stay.

The bathroom has a large walk in shower and a full size bath. Local lavender bath products are available for guests to use. Mineral water and fresh flowers are always provided. Through French doors, one steps out onto a small private terrace with tables and chairs. Here guests may enjoy a cup of tea, a drink or even breakfast on a fine summer's day, whilst taking in the beautiful view and absorbing the relaxing atmosphere.
